Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for energetic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution centre in Leeds . You will be responsible for various essential tasks including picking, packing, and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately. This role is vital to ensuring that customer orders are processed correctly and dispatched on time, playing a key part in the smooth operation of the warehouse and contributing to customer satisfaction within the Leeds region.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified requirements.
• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring correct items and quantities are recorded.
• Organize and maintain warehouse stock in an efficient manner, ensuring easy access and clear identification.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided where necessary).
• Conduct daily checks to ensure all equipment is safe and in good working order.
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and tidy work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar physical role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to undertake various manual handling tasks.
• Familiarity with scanning equipment and basic computer use is a plus.
