Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and diligent Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution facility in Leeds . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of goods within the warehouse. Your contributions will be vital to ensuring that products are stored correctly, orders are picked and packed accurately, and shipments are dispatched on time. This is a key position on the warehouse floor, supporting the smooth running of daily operations and contributing to overall team success.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against delivery notes.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in stocktaking activities.
• Load outbound shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and security.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar manual handling environment.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items as required.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Forklift truck license is an advantage but not essential.
