Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution centre in Leeds . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving goods, picking and packing orders, stock management, and dispatching items. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of products through the warehouse, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately record incoming stock, checking for damages and discrepancies.
• Pick and pack customer orders efficiently and accurately according to pick lists.
• Replenish stock levels within the warehouse and maintain organized storage areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), safely and effectively.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual handling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in picking and packing.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic, based in our Leeds facility.
