Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for diligent and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution facility in Cardiff . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Your contribution is vital to ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse, maintaining accurate stock levels, and meeting customer order deadlines with accuracy and speed.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, check for damages and discrepancies, and accurately record stock.
• Organize and replenish stock within the warehouse according to established procedures.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct items and quantities.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, palletizing, and loading onto vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained and certified).

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and operate different types of warehouse equipment.
