Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution center in Edinburgh . This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the warehouse, involving the handling of goods, order picking, packing, and dispatch. You will work as part of a team to ensure that all stock is managed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the timely fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate is physically fit, able to work at a steady pace, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and store incoming goods accurately.
• Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained and certified).
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manual handling role is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and packing.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
