About the Role

Our client is seeking reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join their team in Sunderland . This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of the warehouse, involving a range of tasks from receiving and storing goods to picking, packing, and dispatching orders. You will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring that all items are handled with care and that deadlines are met. The ideal candidate is physically fit, has a strong work ethic, and thrives in a busy, hands-on warehouse environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory accurately.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer specifications.
• Organize and maintain warehouse stock in designated locations using warehouse management systems .
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – training may be provided).
• Conduct regular checks to ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and safe.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar manual handling role is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
