About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join their team in Brighton . This role is crucial for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse floor, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance, support, and training to achieve operational targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse processes and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive working environment, ensuring smooth handling of all inbound and outbound logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, including receiving, put-away, picking, and packing.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, enforcing all health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock counts and reconciliation.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety.
• Provide training and coaching to warehouse operatives to enhance skills and productivity.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
