Warehouse Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to guide and motivate a team within their facility in Bristol . You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a specific shift or area, ensuring that operational targets for productivity, quality, and safety are met. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations. As a Team Leader, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive team culture, driving performance, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor team performance, set daily objectives, and ensure targets for picking, packing, and dispatch are achieved.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
• Conduct regular team briefings and provide ongoing training and development for team members.
• Address operational issues promptly and efficiently, escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and health and safety standards.
