About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated Water Resources Engineer to join their team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on the planning, design, and management of water-related infrastructure projects, including flood defense, drainage systems, and water supply networks. You will leverage your technical expertise to develop sustainable solutions that address complex water challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions for flood risk management, including modeling and mitigation strategies.
- Develop hydraulic models for rivers, urban drainage, and coastal processes.
- Prepare technical reports, designs, and specifications for water infrastructure projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments related to water resources.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Stay abreast of advancements in water resource management technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in water resources engineering.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks WS Pro, SWMM).
- Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental principles.
- Experience in flood risk assessment and drainage design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills suitable for remote work.
