Water Sports Instructor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a certified and energetic Water Sports Instructor to join their team at a popular coastal activity centre in Plymouth . This role involves delivering high-quality instruction and ensuring the safety of participants across a range of water sports, including sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. You will create fun, engaging, and safe learning environments for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities, contributing to memorable experiences for visitors to the Devon coast.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and safe instruction for various water sports activities to individuals and groups.
• Ensure all participants adhere to safety guidelines and centre policies at all times.
• Maintain and prepare all water sports equipment, ensuring it is in excellent condition and readily available.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of activity sessions, catering to different skill levels and age groups.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Requirements

• Relevant National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications for water sports (e.g., RYA, British Canoeing).
• First Aid certification is essential.
• Previous experience in delivering water sports instruction, preferably in a centre environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
