Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Well Integrity Engineer to join their expanding team, operating remotely with key hubs across the UK. This role is paramount in ensuring the safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency of all wells throughout their lifecycle. You will develop and implement robust well integrity management systems, conduct risk assessments, and oversee maintenance and monitoring programs. Working from home, you will collaborate with subsurface, drilling, and operations teams to uphold the highest standards of well integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage well integrity management systems (WIMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular well integrity assessments and risk analyses, identifying potential failure mechanisms.
• Oversee and interpret well integrity monitoring data (e.g., pressure testing, C&V).
• Develop and approve well integrity repair and intervention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to subsurface, drilling, and operations teams on well integrity matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in well integrity engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of well construction, completion, and abandonment principles.
• Familiarity with well integrity standards (e.g., ISO 16530-1, API RP series).
• Experience with risk assessment techniques and CMMS.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
