Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Well Integrity Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role is fundamental to ensuring the safety, environmental compliance, and operational longevity of the company's wells. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing integrity testing and monitoring programs. This is a critical role for an engineer committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and asset protection within the oil and gas sector, based at their Staffordshire facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage well integrity management systems (WIMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and barrier analysis to identify potential well integrity failures and their consequences.
• Plan and oversee well integrity testing, inspection, and monitoring activities.
• Analyze well integrity data and recommend remedial actions or preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies related to well integrity.
• Collaborate with operations, drilling, and maintenance teams to address and resolve well integrity issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in well integrity, completions, or well operations.
• In-depth knowledge of well construction, completion components, and failure mechanisms.
• Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines for well integrity management (e.g., ISO 16530, API RP 90).
• Experience with integrity software and data management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
