Well Intervention Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Well Intervention Engineer to join their global operations team, working entirely remotely from anywhere. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing production from existing wells through planning and execution of specialized intervention operations. You will leverage your technical expertise to design, implement, and manage a variety of well intervention techniques, optimizing asset performance. This remote-first position offers the flexibility to work from home while collaborating virtually with onshore and offshore teams worldwide to deliver safe and efficient well solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan well intervention operations, including P&A, fishing, CTU, slickline, and E-line operations.
• Prepare detailed job procedures, risk assessments, and contingency plans for intervention activities.
• Select and specify appropriate equipment and materials for intervention campaigns.
• Provide remote technical support and supervision during intervention operations.
• Analyze post-intervention data and performance to optimize future operations.
• Liaise with operations teams, vendors, and management to ensure successful execution of intervention projects.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and lessons learned for well intervention.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in well intervention , completion, or production engineering.
• Strong understanding of wellbore mechanics, fluid dynamics, and downhole tools.
• Experience with various intervention techniques and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in relevant software for well design and analysis.
• Excellent remote communication and project management skills.
