Well Intervention Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Well Intervention Engineer to join their asset integrity team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role is vital for maintaining and improving the production and safety of existing wells through the planning and execution of intervention operations. You will be responsible for designing, specifying, and managing a range of well intervention activities, ensuring they are performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in well operations to contribute significantly to maximizing asset value in a key industrial area.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute well intervention operations, including wireline, coiled tubing, and P&A activities.
• Develop detailed job programs and risk assessments for all intervention campaigns.
• Oversee the selection and procurement of necessary equipment and services from vendors.
• Monitor offshore execution of interventions, providing technical support and ensuring safe practices.
• Analyze post-job performance and provide recommendations for future interventions and well integrity improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Substantial experience in well intervention engineering and operations.
• Thorough understanding of wellbore hydraulics, completion equipment, and downhole tools.
• Experience with well integrity principles and regulations.
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety in Stoke-on-Trent .
