Wireless Network Engineer - 5G Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Wireless Network Engineer with a specialization in 5G technologies to join their innovative team in Leeds . This role will focus on the design, deployment, and optimization of wireless networks, ensuring high performance and seamless connectivity. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage 5G core and RAN network architectures and solutions.
• Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization for wireless services.
• Troubleshoot complex wireless network issues, including interference, coverage, and connectivity problems.
• Stay current with emerging wireless technologies and industry standards, evaluating their potential application.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to integrate new technologies and services.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, configurations, and operational procedures for wireless infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in wireless network engineering, with a strong focus on 5G technologies .
• In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, SA/NSA architectures, and related protocols.
• Experience with RF planning tools, drive testing, and network optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualized network functions (VNF/CNF) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities.
