About the Role
Our client seeks a proactive and organised Workshop Controller to manage the daily operations of their automotive service center in Cardiff . You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient workflow, managing technician schedules, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of technical understanding and strong leadership skills to oversee the smooth running of the workshop. Key Responsibilities
- Organise and allocate job cards to technicians based on skill set and workload, ensuring efficient job completion.
- Monitor workshop progress throughout the day, ensuring deadlines are met and customer expectations are managed proactively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries regarding service appointments, repair progress, and costs.
- Ensure all warranty procedures are correctly followed and that work is carried out to manufacturer standards.
- Maintain accurate workshop records, including service histories and parts orders.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an automotive workshop environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and terminology.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in using workshop management software.
