Automotive Electrician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Automotive Electrician to join their dynamic team in Cardiff . This role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and installation of electrical systems in a variety of vehicles. You will be working on everything from basic wiring faults to complex electronic control unit (ECU) issues, ensuring vehicles are safe and functional. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive workshop environment that values precision, problem-solving, and excellent customer service, contributing to the reliable performance of vehicles across Wales.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring, lighting, battery, and charging systems.
• Install and service automotive electrical accessories such as audio systems, alarms, and tracking devices.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and multimeters to accurately pinpoint electrical issues.
• Perform electrical system upgrades and modifications according to specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken.

Requirements

• Qualified Automotive Electrician or proven experience in automotive electrical repair.
• Solid understanding of vehicle electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools for electrical systems.
• Experience with automotive batteries, alternators, starters, and EFI systems.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
