Job Description
We are working on behalf of a reputable Accident Repair Centre in Bedford to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller. This is a senior Workshop Controller role ideal for a skilled professional looking to join a growing team within a well-established business. The successful Workshop Controller will oversee workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, repair quality, and customer satisfaction.

Manage the daily workflow of the bodyshop, ensuring smooth vehicle progression through repairs Allocate repair jobs to technicians based on their skills and workload Monitor repair progress and ensure jobs are completed within planned timescales Liaise with the Bodyshop Manager and wider team to maintain operational efficiency Ensure technicians have the necessary parts, information, and resources Conduct regular quality checks to uphold repair standards Support technicians with technical or repair-related questions Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment Work collaboratively with estimators, parts personnel, and the wider team to meet repair targetsRequirements:
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within an accident repair centre or bodyshop Strong knowledge of vehicle accident repair processes and workflow Proven ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload effectively Excellent organisational and communication skills Attention to detail and a focus on repair quality Ability to motivate and support a team of technicians Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused attitude Experience working to manufacturer or insurer repair standards is advantageousThis role offers a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior position within a busy, expanding accident repair centre.
