Year 1 Teacher Location: Nelson, Lancashire Salary: MPS-UPS, dependent on experience Start Date: January 2027 Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term

Veritas Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Nelson to recruit a passionate Year 1 Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term position starting in January 2027.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons Create a positive, purposeful and inclusive classroom Set high expectations for learning and behaviour Adapt teaching to meet individual needs, including SEND Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues Track and support pupil progress Work collaboratively with the wider school team

We're Looking For

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 Strong classroom management skills A creative and engaging approach to learning High expectations of all pupils Excellent communication and teamwork skills

ECTs with relevant KS1 experience are welcome to apply.
