About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and engaging Youth Support Coordinator to join their team serving the Sunderland area. This role involves coordinating and delivering essential support services to young people, helping them to navigate challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for young people, both virtually and in person.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to young people facing personal, social, or educational challenges.
• Coordinate access to external services, such as educational support, employment opportunities, and health services.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and relevant community stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate group work sessions focused on skill-building, resilience, and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes, adhering to confidentiality policies.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a youth work , mentoring, or social support capacity.
• Understanding of adolescent development, common challenges faced by youth, and effective support strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively across remote and on-site duties.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for communication and record-keeping.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
