Youth Worker - Outreach Programs

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Worker to lead their outreach programs in Leeds . This role is focused on engaging with young people in the community, providing positive role modeling, facilitating constructive activities, and offering guidance and support to help them navigate challenges and reach their potential. You will work proactively to build relationships, create safe spaces for engagement, and contribute to the development of programmes that foster personal growth, resilience, and social responsibility among the youth population we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities and programmes for young people in community settings.
• Build positive relationships with young people, acting as a mentor and trusted confidant.
• Provide guidance and support on issues such as education, employment, health, and personal development.
• Conduct risk assessments for activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
• Collaborate with local schools, community groups, and other organisations to enhance program reach and impact.
• Maintain records of engagement, progress, and any safeguarding concerns.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people, preferably in a youth work or community setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Demonstrable understanding of youth development principles and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
