Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing / FMCG

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 + overtime available

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful and established food manufacturing and FMCG business, who are looking to appoint a Production Supervisor / Production Team Leader to join their busy manufacturing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Senior Production Operative with experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, food production or high-volume manufacturing.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day food production and manufacturing operation, ensuring production targets, quality standards, food safety requirements and health & safety procedures are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supervising, supporting and motivating production operatives and production teams

* Managing daily food production activities to meet output, quality and efficiency targets

* Allocating staff and resources to meet the daily production plan

* Monitoring production performance, downtime, waste and productivity

* Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, quality and hygiene standards

* Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed

* Supporting staff training, development and onboarding

* Completing production paperwork, records and performance documentation

* Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse and Logistics teams

* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, waste reduction and improved efficiency

* Investigating and resolving production, quality and operational issues

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a production supervisory, team leader or manufacturing leadership role, ideally within:

* Food Manufacturing

* FMCG

* Food Production

* Food Processing

* High-volume Manufacturing

You will also have:

* Experience managing or supervising a production team

* Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP

* Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing operations

* Excellent communication and people management skills

* A strong focus on quality, health & safety and production efficiency

* Good problem-solving and organisational skills

* A hands-on, proactive approach to managing a busy production environment
