About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Accounts Payable Manager to lead their remote finance operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor management. You will implement and maintain robust AP processes and controls, working independently to manage workflows and support the broader finance team. This role offers a superb opportunity for an experienced AP professional to take on leadership responsibilities in a fully remote capacity, contributing to financial efficiency from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of high-volume supplier invoices and expense reports.
- Supervise and mentor the remote AP team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve complex discrepancies and payment issues.
- Prepare AP aging reports and contribute to cash flow forecasting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior Accounts Payable role, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of AP best practices, internal controls, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and internal stakeholders.
