About the Role
Our client is seeking a bright and analytical Actuarial Analyst to contribute to their risk management and product development efforts in Belfast . This role involves performing complex statistical analyses, building financial models, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making across the business. You will work closely with senior actuaries and other departments to assess financial risks, price insurance products accurately, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial projections.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and forecast outcomes.
- Support the pricing of new and existing insurance products.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory returns and reports.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to provide actuarial support.
- Undertake actuarial examinations and progress towards professional qualifications.
Requirements
- Progress towards or completion of actuarial examinations (e.g., IFoA).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving.
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Familiarity with insurance principles and practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
