Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene, always promoting dignity and respect.
- Support clients with daily living tasks such as preparing meals, light housekeeping, and managing their medication schedule.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the care manager.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, or community events, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, observations, and any incidents, adhering to care plan requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an adult social care or similar support role is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- A caring, patient, and reliable nature with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to undertake required training, including safeguarding, first aid, and specific care needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive care team.
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries in a care setting.
