Adult Social Care Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Social Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals within the Liverpool community. This hands-on role involves assisting adults with a variety of needs, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives within their own homes or in supported living environments. You will be working directly with clients, offering practical help and emotional support, contributing significantly to their overall well-being and quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to person-centered care and a genuine desire to help others.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities.
• Accurately record observations and care provided in client care plans and logs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team.
• Report any concerns regarding a client's well-being or safety to the appropriate supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
• A caring, patient, and reliable nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of dignity, respect, and confidentiality in care provision.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
