About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Aerospace Mechanical Engineer to join their cutting-edge aerospace division, operating remotely with key personnel in Bristol . Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications, including structures, mechanisms, and thermal management systems.
- Perform detailed stress analysis, vibration analysis, and fatigue life calculations using advanced simulation tools.
- Ensure designs meet stringent aerospace regulations, safety requirements, and performance specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, materials, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical systems.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation of aerospace mechanical components.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and manufacturing instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX) and structural analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and certification requirements.
- Experience with systems engineering principles and DO-160/MIL-STD testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.
