About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Agronomist to join their innovative team, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices and crop optimization. While based remotely, you will support farming operations and agricultural businesses across various regions, providing expert advice on soil health, crop nutrition, pest and disease management, and yield improvement strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed soil analysis and interpret results to develop tailored fertilization and soil improvement plans.
- Provide expert advice on crop selection, planting techniques, and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Monitor crop health and growth stages through remote sensing data, imagery analysis, and virtual farm visits.
- Develop and implement sustainable farming strategies to enhance soil health and reduce environmental impact.
- Advise clients on the adoption of new technologies and precision agriculture techniques.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients, outlining actionable steps for crop improvement.
Requirements
- A Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural consulting or research.
- In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, soil chemistry, and crop protection.
- Proficiency in using agricultural software, GIS, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
