About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomist to join their dynamic team based in Coventry . This role focuses on providing expert advice and technical support to farmers and agricultural businesses on crop nutrition, soil health, pest management, and sustainable farming practices. You will play a crucial role in enhancing crop yields and quality, optimizing resource use, and promoting environmentally sound agricultural techniques across the West Midlands region . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct soil analysis and provide recommendations for nutrient management and soil improvement.
• Assess crop health, identify pests and diseases, and develop integrated management strategies.
• Advise farmers on best practices for planting, irrigation, and harvesting to maximize yields and quality.
• Stay updated on the latest agricultural research, technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Develop and deliver technical training and presentations to farmers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to drive innovation in agriculture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in crop and soil management, preferably within the UK agricultural landscape.
• Knowledge of plant pathology, entomology, and weed science.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret scientific data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Familiarity with precision agriculture techniques and relevant software is a plus.
