About the Role

Our client, a key player in the aviation sector based in Edinburgh , is looking for a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician . This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining and repairing the complex electronic systems and equipment installed in our aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of navigation, communication, autopilot, and other sophisticated avionics systems. Working within a dedicated technical team, you will contribute directly to flight safety and operational efficiency, upholding the highest standards of maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems and components.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve system faults.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on navigation, communication, radar, and flight control systems.
• Calibrate avionics equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Document all maintenance actions, inspections, and repairs accurately in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance software .
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex avionics issues and implement modifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician .
• Strong understanding of various avionics systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and radar.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and avionic troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics , and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of EASA/CAA regulations pertaining to aircraft avionics maintenance.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in avionics or aviation electronics are highly desirable.
