About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician to join their dedicated maintenance team based in Edinburgh . This role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex aircraft electrical systems, ensuring they meet stringent aviation standards. You will work on a variety of modern aircraft, diagnosing faults and performing precise repairs. The ideal candidate is meticulous, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong understanding of electrical theory and its application in aviation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, avionics, and power distribution units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
• Install, modify, and upgrade electrical components and systems according to technical documentation.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with aviation regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks performed on aircraft electrical systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Technician or equivalent military/civilian role.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical principles, avionics, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in using electrical test equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
