About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Interior Systems Technician to join their MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Leeds . This hands-on role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft cabin interiors, including seats, galleys, lavatories, and in-flight entertainment systems. You will ensure that all cabin components meet stringent safety, regulatory, and aesthetic standards, contributing to the passenger experience and operational efficiency of their clients' fleets. This is a vital role for maintaining the comfort and functionality of aircraft cabins within the UK aviation landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of aircraft interior components, including seating, carpeting, galleys, and overhead bins.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with in-flight entertainment (IFE), lighting, and cabin power systems.
- Perform modifications and upgrades to aircraft cabin interiors according to technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed on interior systems.
- Collaborate effectively with other maintenance teams and departments to ensure seamless aircraft turnaround.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Interior Technician or a related field (e.g., upholstery, electrical fitting with aerospace focus).
- Experience working with aircraft cabin systems, including seats, galleys, lavatories, and IFE.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety procedures related to cabin interiors.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools specific to aircraft maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics in Leeds .
