About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Stress Engineer to join their advanced engineering department in Norwich . This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of aircraft designs through rigorous analysis and testing. You will perform complex stress analysis, validate designs, and contribute to the certification process for new and existing aircraft structures. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive static and dynamic stress analysis on aircraft structures and components using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Develop and validate analytical models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with airworthiness standards and customer requirements.
- Interpret test data and results, correlating them with analytical predictions and making necessary design adjustments.
- Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and certification authorities to address structural issues and support design iterations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports documenting analysis methodologies, results, and conclusions for design reviews and regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in structures or stress analysis.
- Significant experience in aircraft structural analysis, including proficiency with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of material science, mechanics of materials, and aerospace structural design principles.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and certification processes (e.g., EASA CS-25, FAA FAR Part 25).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills, particularly for a Norwich -based team.
