About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Norwich . You will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical systems for aircraft, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This is a critical on-site role that requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles applied within the aerospace context. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of engineers and technicians to deliver robust and reliable electrical solutions for our aircraft fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, wiring harnesses, and control systems.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component specifications using relevant software tools.
- Perform electrical load analyses, transient analyses, and other necessary calculations to ensure system integrity.
- Integrate electrical systems into aircraft platforms, overseeing installation and testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development, manufacturing, and operational phases.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aerospace electrical standards (e.g., ARINC, MIL-STD) and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related aerospace engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems engineering .
- Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3) and simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical power systems, avionics interfaces, and EMC/EMI principles.
- Experience with testing and validation of electrical systems in an aerospace environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team at our Norwich facility.
