About the Role
Our client seeks a talented and passionate 3D Character Animator for a contract role based in Belfast . You will be responsible for bringing characters to life through high-quality animation for our upcoming projects, focusing on performance, emotion, and technical execution. This position requires a deep understanding of character acting, rigging principles, and the ability to work efficiently within a collaborative pipeline. You will work closely with the art and design teams to ensure character animations meet the project's artistic and narrative requirements, contributing to visually stunning and engaging interactive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Animate 3D characters , creatures, and props with a focus on realistic movement, performance, and emotional conveyance.
- Collaborate with character modelers, riggers, and art directors to understand character design and technical constraints.
- Interpret animation direction and feedback to refine and polish character performances.
- Utilize industry-standard animation software and tools to produce high-quality animation assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to animation, rigging, and engine integration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in 3D character animation for games, film, or animation.
- Proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, with a strong understanding of animation principles and workflows.
- Experience with motion capture data editing and cleanup is a plus.
- A strong understanding of anatomy, body mechanics, and facial animation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly about animation challenges and solutions.
