Applications Engineer - Mechanical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a technically adept Applications Engineer specializing in mechanical systems for their team in Bristol . This role bridges the gap between customer needs and engineering solutions, providing technical expertise and support for their product lines. You will work with sales teams, customers, and R&D to ensure the optimal application of mechanical products and technologies. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and strategic market insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and sales teams regarding mechanical products.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions and configurations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-specific technical issues.
• Collaborate with R&D and product management to relay customer feedback and suggest product improvements.
• Develop application notes, case studies, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in an applications engineering, technical support, or design role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and product applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with CRM systems and technical sales support is a plus.
