About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Arborist to join their team in Edinburgh . This hands-on role involves the professional care of trees, including pruning, health assessments, planting, and removal, ensuring the safety and aesthetic appeal of urban and rural landscapes. You will work closely with a team of arboricultural experts, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to maintain trees to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional tree pruning, including crown reduction, thinning, and formative pruning, to improve tree health and structure.
• Conduct thorough tree risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
• Safely dismantle and remove trees that pose a risk or are no longer viable, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Plant new trees, ensuring correct species selection, siting, and establishment techniques.
• Operate and maintain a range of arboricultural equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and climbing gear.

Requirements

• NPTC or LANTRA qualifications in arboriculture (e.g., CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39).
• Proven experience in professional tree care and climbing techniques.
• Thorough understanding of tree biology, health, and disease identification.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices in arboriculture.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
