Our client, a forward-thinking architectural studio located in the vibrant city of Derby , Derbyshire, is seeking a driven and talented Architectural Assistant (Part II) . This position offers an exceptional platform for an enthusiastic individual to further their career, working on a diverse array of projects including cultural, educational, and commercial developments. You will be an integral part of the design team, contributing to all phases of the architectural process, from conceptual design and visualization to the preparation of detailed technical drawings. We are looking for someone passionate about design, eager to learn, and ready to make a significant contribution to innovative projects within the East Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior architects in developing design concepts, producing drawings, and creating 3D models using industry-standard software.
- Prepare documentation for planning applications and Building Regulations submissions.
- Conduct site surveys and analysis to inform design development.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives.
- Research and specify materials, building systems, and construction details.
- Contribute to the production of high-quality presentation materials for design reviews and client meetings.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a RIBA Part II Architecture course or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, along with strong visualization skills (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion).
- A robust portfolio demonstrating design flair and technical capability.
- Good understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach to professional development and a commitment to excellence.
