About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join their established practice in Sunderland . This role is crucial in supporting the architectural team by producing high-quality technical drawings and specifications. You will be involved in various stages of the design and construction process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical standards. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the delivery of successful projects within the Sunderland area and contributing to the firm's technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for architectural projects using CAD software.
• Assist architects in the development of design proposals and planning applications.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements to gather necessary project data.
• Ensure technical drawings comply with building regulations and industry standards.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Requirements

• HND or Degree qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience as an Architectural Technician or similar role.
• High proficiency in CAD software , particularly AutoCAD and Revit.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
