About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Childminder to support their registered childminding service in Derby . This role involves working alongside a registered childminder to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children. You will assist in daily routines, help plan and lead activities, and contribute to the overall positive experience for the children. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in providing daily care for children.
• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and play.
• Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of children at all times.
• Help with meal times, naps, and other daily routines.
• Communicate positively with children, parents, and the registered childminder.
• Maintain a clean and organised play and living space.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is advantageous, but not essential.
• A genuine interest in childcare and child development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work reliably and follow instructions.
• Understanding of basic safeguarding principles.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
