Assistant Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity – Commercial & Data Centre Projects - London We are working with a leading M&E Contractor is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to join their London team for commercial fitouts and data centres in London. The Role
As Assistant Mechanical Project Manager, you will share responsibility for the mechanical package on various projects with an established Mechanical Project Manager, ensuring delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical installations on a major data centre scheme
- Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
- Overseeing programme, cost control, and quality assurance
- Driving health & safety standards across site operations
- Leading commissioning and handover processes in line with critical environment requirements
- Reporting into senior leadership and contributing to overall project strategy
About You
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager/Supervisor within M&E / building services
- Strong background delivering data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects
- Experience working for a main contractor or principal contractor environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and commissioning processes
- Ability to manage complex programmes in fast-paced environments The Company:
