The London team covers everything from dilapidations and large defect investigations to project monitoring and rights of light, with industrial, logistics and offices at its core. Most instructions come back from established clients or arrive through referral from agency and investment colleagues, so the work is there to deliver and grow.
The Associate Building Surveyor Role
You'll lead your own instructions and some of the team's key client relationships. The mix of project and professional work will be shaped around your specialism, and larger dilapidations and defect matters on industrial portfolios come up regularly.
Alongside earning fees, you'll develop the junior team, review their work and help grow London's turnover. Directors are easy to reach, and stepping up to Associate Director is realistic if you perform.
Duties of the Associate Building Surveyor to include:
Leading complex dilapidations claims and negotiations on industrial and office portfolios Directing large-scale defect investigations and root cause analyses Running technical due diligence for investor and occupier clients Overseeing contract administration on refurbishment projects Acting as lead adviser within your specialist area Managing key accounts and identifying follow-on instructions Preparing bids, fee proposals and pitches Reviewing reports and mentoring surveyors and apprenticesThe Person?

The Associate Building Surveyor will ideally have:
MRICS with typically 7+ years post-qualification Current Associate experience, or a strong Senior track record ready for the step up A recognised strength in dilapidations, defects, TDD or projects Established client relationships and proven fee generation Experience supervising teams and reviewing qualityIn Return………?
