About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Property Development to lead key projects in Southampton . This senior role involves overseeing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies through to planning, construction, and final handover. You will be responsible for strategic planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder management to ensure successful project delivery within budget and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential development opportunities, conducting thorough feasibility studies and market research.
- Manage all aspects of the property development process, including planning applications, design development, and securing finance.
- Oversee construction phases, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Negotiate with land owners, local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize project profitability and long-term value.
- Manage project risks and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in Southampton .
Requirements
- Significant experience in property development , ideally with a focus on residential or mixed-use schemes.
- Strong understanding of planning processes, construction methodologies, and financial modelling for development projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex development projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Relevant degree in property development, construction management, or a related field.
