About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Property Valuer to join their busy office in Southampton . You will be responsible for conducting accurate valuations of residential properties across the local area, providing essential services for mortgage lenders, first-time buyers, and property investors. This role requires a deep understanding of the local housing market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce clear, concise valuation reports. The successful candidate will be integral to our client's commitment to providing reliable and professional property advice within the competitive Southampton property market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and market value.
- Research local market trends, comparable sales, and planning applications to inform valuations.
- Prepare detailed and accurate residential valuation reports for a variety of purposes, including mortgage lending and investment advice.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Southampton property market and relevant legislation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and other property professionals.
- Ensure all valuations are conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Surveyor (e.g., MRICS) or experienced Valuer with a strong background in residential property.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential property valuation .
- In-depth knowledge of the local property market in Southampton and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency with valuation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
