Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee their busy repair facility in Edinburgh . This leadership role involves managing all aspects of the body shop operations, from customer service and scheduling to team management and quality control. You will ensure efficient workflow, maintain high standards of repair, and foster a positive and productive work environment for the body shop team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the automotive body shop, ensuring optimal efficiency and profitability.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of skilled technicians and support staff.
- Oversee the quality of all body repairs, ensuring they meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
- Manage work scheduling, resource allocation, and parts ordering to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, insurance companies, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the body shop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing an automotive body shop or a similar high-volume repair environment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle body repair techniques, paint processes, and estimating software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with workshop management software and standard office applications.
