About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to lead their busy collision repair center in Coventry . You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive repair process. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of the body shop, including estimating, repair scheduling, quality control, and customer relations.
- Manage and motivate a team of technicians, estimators, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all repairs are carried out to the highest standards, meeting manufacturer and customer expectations.
- Control inventory, manage supplier relationships, and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in managing an automotive body shop or a similar repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, estimating software (e.g., Audatex), and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive operational improvements.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
