About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Leeds . You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of repairs, maintaining efficient workflows, managing inventory, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the automotive body shop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Supervise and mentor a team of body repair technicians and painters, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Oversee the estimating and quoting process for repairs, liaising with insurance companies and customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, managing orders and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the body shop.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing an automotive body shop or collision repair center.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques, paint application, and related technologies.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience dealing with insurance adjusters.
- Proficiency in using body shop management software and estimating systems.
