About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Leeds . This key leadership position demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen understanding of body repair processes, and the ability to manage staff effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of repairs, maintaining efficient workflows, managing inventory, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair management and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the automotive body shop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Supervise and mentor a team of body repair technicians and painters, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
- Oversee the estimating and quoting process for repairs, liaising with insurance companies and customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, managing orders and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the body shop.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing an automotive body shop or collision repair center.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques, paint application, and related technologies.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience dealing with insurance adjusters.
- Proficiency in using body shop management software and estimating systems.
