About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Automotive Paint Sprayer to join their busy accident repair centre in Oxford . You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces and applying high-quality paint finishes to a professional standard. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of paint application techniques and colour matching. You will work as part of a team to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the centre's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix paints to achieve accurate colour matches according to manufacturer specifications.
• Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray guns efficiently and effectively.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform necessary touch-ups or reworks.
• Maintain spray guns, equipment, and the spray booth in clean and good working order.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer or Panel Beater with spray painting duties.
• Proficiency in surface preparation and paint application techniques.
• Knowledge of different types of automotive paints, primers, and clear coats.
• Ability to accurately mix and match colours.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving a flawless finish.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures in a bodyshop environment.
