About the Role

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and efficient Automotive Parts Specialist to join their busy dealership team in Edinburgh . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the service department and parts counter, providing accurate parts identification, availability, and efficient order processing for technicians and retail customers. You will manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and utilize parts databases effectively. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of automotive components and systems, supporting operations in Scotland's capital .

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and supply correct automotive parts and accessories for workshop requirements and retail sales.
• Utilize electronic parts catalogues and inventory management systems to manage stock levels efficiently.
• Process customer orders accurately and promptly, both in person and over the phone.
• Receive, unpack, and check incoming parts deliveries, ensuring accuracy against invoices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department environment.
• Assist technicians with parts inquiries and ensure timely availability for service appointments.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an automotive parts department or a similar inventory management role.
• Familiarity with common automotive components, makes, and models.
• Proficiency in using parts ordering systems and inventory management software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
