About the Role

Our client is seeking a customer-focused and organised Automotive Service Advisor to join their dealership in Southampton . This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service or repair, translating customer needs into actionable work orders for the technical team. You will be responsible for booking appointments, explaining service recommendations, managing customer expectations, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen understanding of automotive services, and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience, contributing to the dealership's reputation for quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, understanding their vehicle's service needs.
• Accurately record customer concerns and requests, creating detailed service orders for the workshop.
• Communicate service recommendations, repair estimates, and timelines clearly to customers.
• Maintain regular contact with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs.
• Process customer payments and ensure all service documentation is completed accurately.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive terminology and service procedures.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using workshop management software and basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
